Model Description
Variable stars may be a source of FRBs, where synchrotron emission is generated by an astrophysical undulator. The model assumes the existence of a weak, axial-symmetric magnetic field some distance from a variable star. The emission frequency will vary relative to the observer, due to the change in opening angles between the observer and direction of emission as the star rotates. Multiple peaks are possible in this scenario. For this model to hold, one must observe a positive frequency sweep ahead of a negative frequency sweep.
